6!!!

It's official. Sophia turned 6 last week. It was a whirlwind of birthday celebrations, starting with a party with her friends at the YMCA in the gymnastics center. Then her Godparents came over, her Aunt Lacey, then some of the grandparents and Uncle Mark/Aunt Amy, then her ACTUAL birthday with celebrations at daycare and school and home, and finally with Grandma Sharon.
A Luau theme complete with brownies.

Trying to get a group picture with 12 girls is tough!

Looking tough - or not (as Sophie holds the arm she hurt when she fell off the bars!)

Sophia got 3 "GloFish" from her godparents, Amy and Jim, and their kids Hannah and Ben. She named them Frenchie (from Grease - it's the pink one), Grape (the green/yellow one), and Selena (the orange one).

No ordinary cake for this girl. She wanted Peanut Butter Ice Cream cake so I made her one.

Finally - an earring tree to keep all her earrings on/in. From Auntie Amy!

Binoculars from Grandma and Grandpa Z - so she can look out across the lake at the cottage.

A new game for her Explorer from Uncle Mark and Auntie Amy.

So - uh - what IS this? Is it a REAL American Girl Doll? Is it Kit? Really???? I thought I had to buy it myself. This was definitely a surprise form Dad and Mom.

Sophie and Kit checking out the American Girl catalog deciding what to buy with the money she had saved to buy Kit.

Grandma Sharon got Kit a new outfit.

First day of Kindergarten (5 year old).

Getting on the bus at daycare.

New glasses (this was in August).

Her first lost tooth!
